Reflections are community based social/activity day centres for people living with a dementia of all ages.We also welcome anyone who may be lonely or isolated. Our ethos is to provide a family,homely environment with support workers who will share your day with you.We are one big family working together,we do not have separate staff rooms nor do we wear uniforms.
 At Reflections we also value greatly the role of people caring for relatives with memory problems.For you our house is open everyday and the kettle is always on,sometimes just chatting over your problems and experiences can be a great help.

Reflections SW is a Community Interest Company,any profits are used for developing new services.
Reflections adhere to the Draft Minimum Standards For Day Care Support Services laid down by the Department of Health.
 MEET THE TEAM
Angela Downing,Director.
Angela trained as a Registered General Nurse at Treliske Hospital. In 1992 Angela established Night Owl Community Care .Night Owl was one of the first independent providers of domiciliary care in Cornwall,Night Owls original policies and procedures were used in the development of the National Minimum Standards for Domiciliary Care.
Angela has many qualifications in management and training,she has just been accepted by the Alzheimers Society on their Train the Trainer programme and will be able to deliver their training Tomorrow is another day, hopefully within the next few months.
Becky Wearne,General Manager.
Becky has been a manager of Night Owl Cornwall LTD for almost fifteen years.Like Angela, Beckys qualifications are too numerous to mention. Becky is currently studying level 2 and 3 in dementia care,she is also commencing a creativity in care settings course with Cornwall Arts For Health at Truro college.
Ian Hargreaves,Gardener/Activity Co Ordinator.
Ian has many years experience managing large estates all over the world.He has the RHS certificate in horticulture and is working to diploma level.Ian is a member of Thrive and is passionate about the benefits of outdoor space and therapy involving nature for people living with dementia.Ian is also studying dementia care at level 2 and 3.
Carolyn Pearce,Training Lead.
Carolyn is a professional trainer.She has over 25 years experience working with people with learning difficulties,mental health,dementia and traumatic brain injuries.
Sophie Downing,Support Worker.
Sophie is our breath of fresh air,currently working with NAPA on a Provision of activities in a care setting ,level 2 course. Sophie is also joining Becky at college on the Creativity in care settings course.
All the above team have received specialist training in dementia care from some of the leading trainers in the country including David Sheard,and Jackie Pool Associates.
For all the health and safety and risk assessment fanatics out there,Angela is also a CIEH trainer in health and safety at work! Angela also holds an advanced certificate in Food Safety. Becky is a qualified First Aider and has undertaken fire warden training. If there is a course needed we will find it!
